Scope of project
The project involved the internal refurbishment of 164 Austhorpe Road, a property within the supported living sector. The aim was to update and improve key areas of the property, including bathrooms and kitchens, to meet the needs of its residents and staff.
Overview
The client, HF Trust, manages various properties for individuals requiring assisted living. This particular property, spanning three floors, was in need of a refreshed look as the bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas had become tired over time.
The refurbishment focused on creating a welcoming and modern space, with special attention given to bathroom areas to ensure they met the needs of the residents, providing them with the best care and facilities possible.
Work undertaken
The main house bathroom was completely stripped out and refitted, alongside updates to the standalone toilet room and staff sleep-in room. The ground floor hallway was redecorated, and external works included gardening and the decoration of doors and gates.
Specifically, we undertook the following:
- Removal of three old bathroom suites and removing all waste from site.
- Removal of all old flooring from bedroom and bathrooms areas.
- Supply and installation of new bathroom suites, with new baths, showers, toilets, sinks, flooring and decoration.
- Full redecoration to various bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas.
- New plastering works to water damaged walls, which included the removal of all the old wall boards, supply, and installation of new and plastering before decoration works.
- New electrical works to bathrooms and ventilation to ensure full compliance.
- All safe waste removal.
The project involved joiners, plumbers, electricians, decorators, and plasterers, with all works project managed by Elite from start to finish. The refurbishment was completed on time and within budget.
