Refurbishment of current offices over three floors.
Overview
The client was looking for the offices to be fully refurbished as only very minor works had been undertaken for several years. The client wanted a new, brighter look to the current dark and plain areas on site. This included redecoration and new flooring throughout to the main communal office areas, kitchens and bathrooms and external works.
Work undertaken
Elite undertook the full rip out of the communal areas in the offices over three floors. The works were undertaken in a two-tier programme system to meet the client's needs.
We started with the rip out of the communal office area on the second floor, the removal of all floor coverings, all doors, the current shared kitchenette and the male and female toilet area. New first fix electrical and fire alarm works were then completed, followed by plastering to all areas. After this, installation of new timber fire doors, full decoration to all areas, installation of a new kitchenette, male and female toilets, anti-slip vinyl flooring and carpet to the communal areas. New lighting, fire alarm and intercom works were also undertaken.
External works were focussed on installing a new disabled ramp to ensure the office suite had wheelchair ramp access for staff. A new glass canopy was installed over the main double entrance doors and the current double doors and window were sprayed grey in colour.
The second tier of the programme followed the same process as the second floor, but this time over the first and ground floor area.
